Object Score – A therapeutic language of movement and imagination
Duda Paiva’s Object Score is a unique movement technique that uses puppets and objects as living extensions of the body. By bringing an object to life, you are invited to externalize your fears, desires, vulnerability, anger, or tenderness.
Through touch, weight, rhythm, and breath, you learn to listen to the object and allow yourself to be guided by it. This dialogue creates a space where emotions are given free rein, stories unfold organically, and performers explore their identity beyond the beaten path.
The Object Score stimulates empathy, embodiment, and transformation: the puppet speaks when words fail, and movement becomes a form of care. Within educational and therapeutic contexts, this practice strengthens emotional intelligence, resilience, and creative self-confidence. It offers a poetic path to heal, play, and reconnect with the many facets of ourselves.

Workshop for
The Object Score is Duda Paiva’s signature performance technique, developed at the intersection of dance, theater, and puppetry. Using lightweight foam rubber puppets as living extensions of the body, performers engage in a ‘body-to-body’ dialogue in which autonomy, focus, and emotion constantly shift between human and object. The performer learns to split presence, breath, rhythm, and intention across two bodies, creating a single poetic organism.
For trained performers, the Object Score offers a radical rethinking of physical dramaturgy, musicality, and emotional projection. It deepens precision, sharpens awareness, and opens new compositional tools for stage, opera, and hybrid art forms.
What if an object could breathe, move, and feel with you? With the Object Score, you form a team together with a foam rubber puppet. In this workshop, you will learn how to give life, emotion, and rhythm to another body while remaining fully aware of your own. You will discover how movement, fantasy, and stories come together.
The puppet becomes your partner; sometimes shy, wild, fragile, or brave. Together, you will create short, expressive scenes and characters. This workshop is for anyone curious about theater, dance, or self-expression. No experience required, just an open mind and a healthy dose of playfulness.

You will meet soft, foam rubber creatures that can jump, sleep, sing, fly, and feel. Using your body, breath, and imagination, you will learn how to make them move and talk. Sometimes you lead the puppet, and sometimes the puppet leads you.
Dancing, playing, and making up stories together. It is like sharing your heartbeat with a new friend. Everyone can participate – regardless of how you move, think, or feel. Here, everyone is suited to play, and every child can bring a creature to life.
